Album for the day 03/05/19: 20 years of “Head Music”
On this day in 1999, Suede released their fourth album “Head Music”. Here are my rather excitable scribblings about that day, written in my diary exactly 20 years ago.
All the gigs of my life: Gig 47 – Pet Shop Boys, Monday, December 20, 1999, Wembley Arena
My third Pet Shop Boys concert, and one of my favourite eras of the band. Which makes it all the more annoying that I have hardly any memories of it.

One of the greatest pop groups of all time performing a selection of classic tunes at one of the grandest venues in London. Pretty good for a Thursday night out.
All the gigs of my life: Gig 46 – Super Furry Animals, Wednesday, November 3, 1999, Brixton Academy
The was my sixth Super Furry Animals gig, but only my second time seeing them headlining their own show. I’m sure it was a fantastic night. However, my memories of this gig are somewhat overshadowed by that occasional bane of the female gig-goer’s life: the Unnecessary Man.
