I have to admit, I was not in the most gigtastic of spirits as I set out for the RAH this night. The weather was intensely warm and humid, giving this October night an eerie, otherworldly feel.
It was the summer of 2017, and a season of gigs was upon me, starting with these two miraculous shows from Take That.
The Manics in Cardiff, playing two gigs for the NHS, at the top of their game. It doesn’t get much better than that.

This was, without a doubt, the gig I’ve been waiting for, the gig I’ve needed since the dark days of April 2020: a legendary rock star singing legendary rock songs. And it was so, so good to be back.
